Our new library opened August 6, 2012. Please come and visit us!
Here are a few of the words spoken by Lee Cheves at the library’s ribbon cutting ceremony:
“What a wonderful day to be alive! An outstanding day with our dignitaries [who] have been introduced as well as our “Partners in Progress.” Most of all an outstanding day to say a Thank You to loyal library patrons and users without you none of this celebration would be possible.
“Each Library Board Chair and Library Director hope to have a lasting change on his “Watch” Today we are the luckiest pair not only in the State of Utah but in most of the United States!” Today is about us, all of us!”
The building was designed by the Architectural team of Joseph W. Linton and Babcock Design Group (based in Logan and Salt Lake City). The firm managing the construction of the building is Layton Construction (based in Sandy, Utah).
The new library features a Children’s Library, Community Room, and Library Administration on Level One; Level two includes the Teen Library, Public Use Computers, two small group study rooms, Library Classroom, Reading area with a fireplace, study tables, chairs, and comfortable places to read.
