Here’s a picture of Karina during one of the meetings of the library’s Code Club. Code Club gives youth the opportunity to learn computer programming by completing fun projects such as programming games. Youth learn to code in Scratch, HTML/CSS, and Python, all valuable job skills, but also boosts their problem-solving skills.
The library Code Club meets each Saturday morning and was originally open only for 9 to 11 year-old children, but now all youth are invited to apply for the club. The requirements for Code Club: 1) the ability to read and follow written instructions, and 2) a commitment to attend all club meetings (no sluffing meetings).
